How much do you charge to come out and repair my sprinkler system?

It depends upon where you live. Our minimum service call fee for most of Central Austin (south of Parmer, west of Decker, north of Slaughter, and east of 360) is $80 or less. In order to cover gas and driving time, our minimum service call fee increases the farther we travel from our headquarters in the Rosedale neighborhood. Some examples, Onion Creek and Pflugerville ($90), Steiner Ranch and Cedar Park ($100), and Lakeway, Leander, and Dripping Springs ($125).

What is meant by "minimum service call fee"?

It’s the minimum we charge to visit your property, whether we are there fifteen minutes or one hour. After one hour, we charge our regular hourly rate, which is $80 for one technician or $105 for a two-man crew. We are generally able to fix most problems within an hour or two.

If you do the repair in an hour and a half, will I get charged for two hours?

No, you will only be billed for an hour and a half.

What’s it going to cost to fix my system?

It depends on what the problem is and how long it takes us to fix it, but here are some ballpark figures to give you a general idea: Installing a new RPZ ($575), Installing a new DCVA ($500), Replacing a valve ($125-$175), Replacing a head ($15), Replacing a rotor ($40), Adding a head to an existing zone ($25-$75 depending upon the distance), Adding a zone to an existing system ($500-$600), Installing drip irrigation ($1.50 per foot up to 100 sq ft, $1.25 per foot up to 250 sq ft, and $1 per foot up to 500 sq ft), Installing a pressure regulator ($250), Replacing a solenoid ($100-175), Installing a rain sensor ($75 if it’s wired, $125 for wireless, and Installing a new controller ($200-400 depending on the number of zones and whether it’s indoor or outdoor).

How soon can I get on the schedule?

It depends upon the time of year and scope of work. In the spring we’re often so booked we might not be able to get to your place for several weeks, but the rest of the year we should be able to get to you within a week and quite often just a day or two. Priority is given to past clients.

What if I have an emergency—I have a major leak—and need someone to come out NOW?

Shut off the water at the main valve. You no longer have an emergency.

Do you install new systems?

Yes, we do. Please fill out our online form and we will get out to your property as soon as possible to give you an estimate.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes, we do, for new systems and large scale projects in excess of $500. For small repairs, we may provide a verbal "ballpark" estimate over the phone if you request one based on your description of the problem. We will bill actual hours required to correctly fix the problem.
